The Simple Womans Daybook

FOR TODAY…Nov. 2~09

Outside my window… the sun is shining brightly. It’s chilly this morning.

I am thinking… about what a great day the family had at Sage’s birthday party. It was at play world so every one had a lot of fun. Sage was one.

I am thankful … for a loving and supportive family who can depend on one another for love and support.

I am wearing… blue pjs

I am remembering… last year when Sage was born. I was lucky enough to see her birth. She is a beautiful baby. I want to see her more so she won’t cry when she looks at me.

I am going… to Mama’s Tuesday if Jerry isn’t off work. If he take a day off we are going to drive to the Ozarks for the day.

I am reading.. Silver Boxes by Florence Littauer

I am hoping..Dakota will have lots of fun today with me.

On my mind… is losing weight. I have gained ten lbs. I pray it doesn’t take ten years to lose it.

From the learning rooms… Dakota and I will be watching the My Baby Can Read DVD.

Noticing that… the trees that were glowing yellow last week are not glowing today.

Pondering these words… “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. (Ephesians 6:18)”

From the kitchen… for lunch we will have veg beef soup that I made yesterday.

Around the house… I have a lot to do. I need to put the house back in order. Jerry wants to paint inside before Thanksgiving and buy new furniture for two of the bedrooms.

One of my favorite things~ is Adi spending the night with me. She stayed Friday night and was so good. She played games on the xbox. Janice and Hoppie gave her a real good game for children.

From my picture journal…

This is Sage. She will be one on the 5th of this month.

Beautiful picture. I have Florence Littauer’s “Silver Boxes”. I read it several years ago and passed it along to my sister. She just gave it back to me recently. A great reminder of being careful with our words. May you bless and be blessed with “silver boxes” today.

I was able to see the birth of the Princess. It was a beautiful moment with my daughter. I’ll never forget how blessed I felt to be a part of it.
Sounds like you get to spend lots of time with your wee ones.
Have a blessed week. Getting new furniture will be fun.

Hello Mrs. Brents:

Thank you so much for visiting our blog. Your Sage is very beautiful and it is so nice to hear about a family getting together. Most (all) of my family lives out of state and so I only get to “hear” about all the family gatherings. I’ve heard Silver Boxes is a good book, but haven’t read it…maybe it is at my library…I’ll see.

Happy Day to you and again, thanks for your visit and comments.

Mrs. Santos

OH… the dreaded 10… I will be working at so much more than 10 pounds just around the corner!! Baby is due Dec 3… and then it is eat eat eat to feed feed feed and it is so hard to condition yourself to lose that weight!!! Oh, well… it can be done, right?!!!

My mom was present to see the births of my first two children and it was so special. She has quite the bond with them – not that she doesn’t with any others, but those first two… ah, it is sweet to think she knew them from their birthday moment!

Thanks for stopping by the treehouse and jumping in the leaves with me!! :)
